SUSTAINABILITY

While creating North the Label, sourcing an ethical and sustainable manufacturer, kinder on the planet fabrics and environmentally friendly materials were all the upmost importance to our brand.

All our products are designed with style, comfort and longevity in mind, and thoughtfully crafted in Indonesia, at a local factory with incredibly talented local artisans, who we look forward to continuing to visit. During the creation of North the Label, it was an important part for us to meet all people involved with the production process, from the beginning to end and learn about the care of staff and the quality of work environment.

All North the Label collections are produced in small, exclusive releases to ensure no product wastage or fast fashion manufacturing. Our products are created using the highest quality materials to ensure they last for years to come and will be worn and loved over and over.

If you have used and loved your North Swim pieces and are ready to pass them on, gifting them to a friend, donating to your local op shop or upcycling are all sustainable ways to do your bit for the planet.

 

KINDER PACKAGING

At North the Label, every effort is gone to sourcing and using biodegradable, compostable, recycled and environmentally friendly accessories and packaging.

All marketing and branding material, packaging, stickers and tags at North the Label are plastic free and made from biodegradable or compostable material.

The only plastic we use at North the Label are our recycled hygiene liners in our swim bottoms. At this stage, recycled plastic liners are still necessary to ensure we meet our high standards of hygiene protocols.

All our products are posted in plastic free biodegradable mailers, made from PBAT and PLA. These mailers are designed to be reused and then composted, and we ask for all our North customers to follow the composting instructions on the outside of the mailer, after receiving your delivery.
